Metropolitan Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker is a fun family tradition that will lift your spirits this holiday season!

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre has been presenting the full-length traditional staging of The Nutcracker at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center in Rockville at Montgomery College since 1989.  Year after year audiences is enchanted by MBT’s performances which feature student and professional dancers, fabulous costumes, and beautiful scenery – including a Christmas tree that seemingly grows forever, magical dancing dolls, marching toy soldiers, giant mice, a dazzling blizzard with dancing snowflakes and a land of luscious sweets. MBT is thrilled to be able to keep the tradition and magic of The Nutcracker alive during this challenging time for all arts organizations. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating the season!

PROOF OF VACCINATION 

PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIRED AT INDOOR PERFORMANCES - PER MONTGOMERY COLLEGE COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

EFFECTIVE 11/18/2021

Masks and proof of COVID vaccination are required at all indoor events. Patrons ages 5-11 who recently became eligible for the vaccine, and patrons under the age of 5 who are not yet eligible for the vaccine, are not required to show proof of vaccination. Children, regardless of vaccination status, must be masked and accompanied by a vaccinated adult. At this time, we do not accept proof of a recent negative COVID test in lieu of vaccination.

 

Types of proof accepted:

  • You may present either your original vaccine card, a legible digital or hard copy

  • You may present one of the commonly used vaccine passport apps that verify both your vaccination status and i.d., such as Health Pass, Bindle, VaxYes.

  • Digital vaccination cards through your home Health Department (check with your state/county’s Health Department if not listed here): Maryland, DC, Virginia
