THE SCHOOL
MBT'S PROGRAMS
Since 1989, MBT has served Maryland’s Montgomery County region with exceptional dance education, community outreach, and inspiring performances. MBT offers classes in Creative Movement, Early Ballet, Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Modern, and more for ages 3 through adult. In addition, MBT offers classes for beginners, a track for pre-professional ballet students, and several performing opportunities for all students.

MBT’s dance studios are located near I-270 in Gaithersburg, MD, and Clarksburg, MD, easily accessible to students from Rockville, Germantown, Olney, Frederick, Washington D.C., and other nearby communities throughout the region. In addition, MBT performs two major ballets annually at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center in Rockville, MD, and an end-of-year recital in the spring.

Children's Division (ages 3-6)
Our Children's Division offers ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap classes for children ages 3-6 years old. Our Grown-Up & Me outreach program serves ages 2+ with a caregiver.
Open Division (ages 7+)
The Open Division offers dancers ages 7 and up the ability to train in a variety of dance styles including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop with a schedule that offers flexibility for students who wish to attend as few as one class per week.
The School (ages 6+)
For the serious young dancer, The School provides a structured ballet education beginning at age 6 and continuing through high school. Students progress through a carefully designed curriculum that emphasizes technical mastery, artistic development, and age-appropriate training.
