Students are placed based on their readiness and age as of September 1, 2026. Returning students may register online via Parent Portal. For new students, please call 301-762-1757 to register or fill out a form to schedule a trial class to determine your student's level.
OPEN DIVISION PROGRAM DETAILS
The Open Division offers dancers ages 7 and up classes in a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, and hip hop. Class commitment is 1x per week per class, allowing dancers flexibility as needed.
The Open Division Ballet Program offers dancers ages 7 and up the ability to train in a disciplined classical ballet setting with a schedule that offers flexibility for students who wish to attend as few as one class per week. Dancers in the Open Division Ballet Program will be taught MBT's School Ballet curriculum. Placement by artistic faculty is required for Intermediate Ballet and Intermediate Jazz & Contemporary levels; beginning dancers do not need a placement.

Performing opportunities: Open Division students are eligible to perform in the Spring Show.
