Discounted classes are available to students enrolled in more than one class or academic ballet program.
Students are placed based on their age as of September 1, 2025. Returning students may register online via Parent Portal. For new students, please call 301-762-1757 to register or fill out a form to schedule a trial class to determine your student's level. Beginner Ballet, Jazz/Tap 1, and Hip Hop 1 do not require faculty placement.
RECREATIONAL DANCE PROGRAM DETAILS
The Recreational Dance Program offers dancers ages 7 and up classes in a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip hop.
The Recreational Ballet Program offers dancers ages 7 and up the ability to train in a disciplined classical ballet setting with a schedule that offers flexibility for students who wish to attend as few as one class per week. Youth Ballet students also have the choice to register for a semester or full year. Dancers in the Recreational Ballet Program will be taught MBT's Academic Ballet curriculum and have professional performing opportunities. Placement by artistic faculty is required for Beginning Intermediate and Intermediate Ballet levels; beginning dancers do not need a placement.

Performing opportunities: Recreational Dance students are eligible to perform in The Nutcracker, the Winter Collective, and the Spring Collective. In the instance that we cannot produce planned performances due to health restrictions, videos will be taken in in-studio classes and shared with parents.
