ACADEMIC BALLET PROGRAM (EARLY BALLET 3 - ACADEMIC LEVEL 4)

For the serious young dancer, Academic Ballet offers training in ballet technique starting at age 6.5, and continuing through high school, with a pre-professional dance curriculum for those students who may be interested in pursuing a career in dance. Emphasis is placed on learning classical ballet technique while building strength and flexibility, confidence, musicality, and artistry.

As students progress through the program, more frequent training is required in order to accomplish the curriculum.

All-Academic Ballet programs require faculty placement and full-year enrollment. Please call the office to schedule a placement class.

Students will focus their training in either the Classical Division or Contemporary Division starting at Academic Ballet Level 5.

Performing opportunities: Academic Ballet Level 1-4 students are eligible to perform in The Nutcracker, the Winter Collective, the Spring Ballet, and the Spring Collective. In the instance that we cannot produce planned performances due to health restrictions, videos will be taken in in-studio classes and shared with parents.

The progression through the Classical Division of the Academic Ballet Program requires a traditional focus on pointe work for women, and strengthening, jumps, and partnering for men. All Academic Ballet programs require faculty placement. Please call the office to schedule your free placement class.

Performing opportunities: Academic Ballet Levels 5 through 9+ are eligible to perform in The Nutcracker, the Winter Collective, the Spring Ballet, and the Spring Collective, as well as informal performances throughout the year.
