Sam Baybado
Samantha Baybado began dancing in California at Contra Costa Ballet under the direction of Zola Dishong and Richard Cammack. In high school she moved to the Pacific Northwest and began dancing with The Portland Ballet under the direction of Nancy Davis. There, she performed original works by Josie Moseley, John Clifford, and Jason Davis, along with the classics such as Stars and Stripes, Pas de Quatre, Paquita and Swan Lake. During this time, she was also able to attend programs such as Oregon Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and BalletMet on scholarships. After graduation Samantha began studying at Oregon Ballet Theatre while the school was under Tony Jones. While there, she had the pleasure of performing alongside the company in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker, Frank Anderson's setting of Napoli, and Alison Roper's Luxe, Calme, & Volupte. Samantha then joined State Street Ballet's training program for the '16-17 season in Santa Barbara, California. She was able to perform Le Corsaire and an original work by Anna Carnes. Shortly after the season finished she moved to the DMV. While here Samantha has danced with I.C. Movement Project and Company E in DC. In addition to being a dance teacher, she is also a certified personal trainer.
