Rachel Knudson

Rachel Knudson is an ABT Certified Teacher in all levels (pre-primary to Level 7). She regularly participates in ABT’s Raising the Barre Series – a program for certified teachers that highlights different aspects of ABT’s National Training Curriculum. She holds a Master’s Degree in Dance Education from George Washington University, and a post-baccaulereate teaching certificate in Dance, K-12, from Towson University. She danced professionally with Pacific Northwest Ballet.


In addition, Ms. Knudson is a Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artist; in this capacity, she leads trainings for educators that integrate dance in the curriculum. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Towson University, teaching courses in dance pedagogy in early childhood.


Ms. Knudson teaches ballet, modern dance and creative dance. She enjoys teaching dance to students of all ages, where she can bring together her training as a professional dancer with her understanding of development and curriculum design.
