Addison Browne

Addison Browne is a dancer, choreographer, and arts leader from eastern North Carolina with a career spanning performance, choreography, teaching, and administration. A former company member with US International Ballet, she performed in both classical repertory and contemporary works, with featured roles such as the Canary Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, Kitri's Friend in Don Quixote, and various roles in The Nutcracker, as well as additional featured roles in original works. Her choreographic work has been presented at the Wilmington Dance Festival and Dance-a-lorous, including collaborations with Jackson & Co Contemporary Ballet and other regional artists. She also served as Assistant Director and Children's Director with Wilmington Ballet Company, contributing to both the artistic vision and community engagement of the organization.

As an educator, Addie has taught ballet, contemporary, jazz, and adaptive classes for students of all levels, ages 2-18. Her teaching emphasizes wellness, inclusivity, and anatomically sound training, with an additional interest in amplifying underrepresented voices in the arts.

Addie earned a B.A. in Dance Performance & Choreography and a minor in Graphic Design from the University of South Carolina. While there, she trained with Jennifer Deckert, Andre Megerdichian, Olivia Waldrop, Hilary Toth, and Stephanie Milling, and performed works by Jose Limon and others.

Her work continues to center community impact and accessibility, creating meaningful arts experiences that uplift artists and inspire audiences. She is excited to contribute to Metropolitan Ballet Theatre's mission through her leadership, teaching, and commitment to fostering community through the arts.
