Faith Lee

Faith Lee began her dance training in Washington State, studying the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) curriculum through age 10. She later expanded her education by training in both the Cecchetti and Balanchine methods before receiving her formal training at Maryland Youth Ballet, where she graduated from the Conservatory Program.

During her time at Maryland Youth Ballet, Faith studied under Olivier Munoz, Ethan Brown, Julie Miles, Christopher Doyle, and other distinguished faculty. She has had the opportunity to perform works choreographed by Eric Hampton and Alvin Mayes and has attended summer intensives with Washington Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Joffrey Ballet on various scholarships.

Faith's performance experience includes roles such as Cupid in Don Quixote, Clara in The Nutcracker, Little Swans, Les Sylphides, the Butterfly Queen in Tensia Fonseca's Dragonfly Queen, and Beethoven Bits by Eric Hampton. She danced a season with Indianapolis Ballet before returning home to begin her teaching career.

As an educator, Faith teaches ballet to students ages 2 through adult, with experience choreographing and setting ballets on dancers of all ages. Her teaching emphasizes sustainable technique and working with each dancer's natural anatomy. She believes that anatomically informed training is an essential tool for injury prevention and strives to incorporate these principles into every class.

Faith has taught, coached, and choreographed for a variety of schools throughout the DMV area. She also teaches with an outreach program that provides free dance education to elementary school students in Montgomery County. In addition to ballet, she has experience teaching character dance, line dancing, conditioning, and stretch/sculpt.

Faith is excited to foster a love of ballet in her students at MBT and to make a lasting impact on each dancer's artistic and personal growth.
