Outreach

Extending Our Mission Beyond the Barre

Part of our mission at Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy is to give the gift of dance back to the community. Since 1989, we have visited schools, senior centers, community events, and hospitals providing free performances, lecture demonstrations, and dance classes as part of MBT's Community Outreach efforts.

Whether you are a longtime dance lover or discovering the art form for the first time, everyone is welcome to join MBT at community events throughout the year.

1:00 - 1:45 pm (ages 6-13) | 1:50 - 2:35 pm (ages 14+)

In this 6-week session, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of dance technique. Students will work on gaining strength and coordination all while exploring their artistry and creativity. The final class will be a performance at the Step UP Walk!
