Students are placed based on their age as of September 1, 2023. Returning or new students may register online via Parent Portal for Jazz or Tap. New students may schedule a trial class to help determine their level. Jazz 2 - 5 and Tap 2 requires faculty placement.
JAZZ & TAP PROGRAM (AGES 4.5 - TEEN)
Students will learn proper dance techniques such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street, Funk, and Tap to help develop a well-rounded dancer. Tap classes are primarily held at our Clarksburg studio.

Performing opportunities: All Jazz/Tap (7+) students are eligible to perform in The Nutcracker, the Winter Collective, and the Spring Collective. Mini Tap students enrolled during semester 1 are eligible to perform at the Winter Collective. Mini Tap students enrolled during semester 2 are eligible to perform at the Spring Collective. There will be a mini-observation week for parents to observe Young Dancer classes each semester. In the instance that we cannot produce planned performances due to health restrictions, videos will be taken in in-studio classes and shared with parents.
