Performances

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre provides students in the Academy various performing opportunities depending on the student’s age, ability, and interest.  Academy students 7 years of age and older are invited to audition to perform with MBT’s Company in September of each academic year.

The Company
The company provides Academy students the opportunity to perform in professional ballet productions.  Annually MBT performs the full-length The Nutcracker as well as a Spring Dance Concert which varies from year to year and has included Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Coppelia, Swan Lake, The Firebird, and other original works.

The Nutcracker and the Spring Dance Concert are performed at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center, Montogomery College, Rockville.

Academy students and Company members are also invited to participate in outreach performances throughout the community several times per year.
