Metropolitan Ballet Theatre is unique in offering its students the opportunity to perform in a professional atmosphere. MBT presents two performance seasons annually - The Nutcracker every winter and a Spring Dance Collection which varies from year to year. Past Spring productions have included such classics as Coppelia, Firebird, and Swan Lake, as well as contemporary works by local choreographers.

MBT students in Begining Ballet or Begining Jazz and older are invited to audition for The Nutcracker, while students enrolled in Academic II Ballet  and above can also audition for Sleeping Beauty.   Participation in the performances is voluntary, and rehearsals take place outside of the dancers' regular class time.

MBT's performances are family-friendly, affordable, and convenient. MBT presents its ballets to the community at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center, Montgomery College, Rockville. Our audiences come from all over the Metropolitan Washington, DC area - from Frederick to Montgomery and Prince Georges counties, and from Baltimore to Northern Virginia.
